The Friends of Borderland and DCR are co-sponsoring many events in 2023 to celebrate the centennial of the 19th amendment, which allowed women to vote. Blanche Ames, was a suffragist and fought for rights for women. Since we were not able to provide the centennial lecture series in 2020, we will be celebrating in 2023, in honor of Blanche Ames and the many women who fought and are fighting for equality today! We will be highlighting historical women and their remarkable stories through historians and performers alike. Space is limited for all of these events. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance (will go on sale in March 2023), if there are seats available for any of these performances, we will sell the day of in front of the Ames Mansion.
Suffrage Lecture Series
Join BCN Productions, DCR and the Friends of Borderland as we premiere the 55-minute documentary about Blanche Ames inside her home for the first time! The documentary goes in depth about Blanche Ames and her suffrage work, work on the birth control league of Massachusetts and who she was as a person. This is a remarkable documentary and we hope you can join us in the perfect setting to watch it.
Stay tuned for date(s) and times!
